Training equipment is an essential part of the sport of armwrestling.
Having the right gear makes it sooo much easier to develop accurate strength that’ll actually carry over to the armwrestling table.
This page contains all the equipment I personally recommend, as well as many of the recommendations from other armwrestlers.
The first section looks at the absolute essentials: these are the very first items you should be purchasing when it’s time to invest in armwrestling equipment.
After that I’ve included some more advanced equipment that you’ll also greatly benefit from owning.
Armwrestling Essentials
These are the items that should be right at the top of your shopping list if you’re a beginner.
This was the first armwrestling table I ever used and it does an exceptionally good job considering it's the cheapest option on the market. Absolutely perfect for beginners - you'll have no issues with quality.
A martial arts belt (of any sort) is an armwrestlers best friend. You can do SO many different armwrestling exercises using one of these. Even top professionals use belts on a daily basis in their training.
Having an adjustable pulley system that attaches to your table is going to allow you to perform 99% all of the arm wrestling specific lifts at the correct angles for maximum table carry-over.
A multispinner should be the first arm wrestling specific attachment you get your hands on. It can train everything (cup, pronation, supination, back pressure, side pressure, containment) except for rising strength, making it the most versatile handle you can get.
The WristMax handle is one of the most efficient ways to develop finger strength, Devon Larratt uses this handle almost daily and it's also a handle I simply cannot live without!
If you don't already have one, you'll want to grab a cheap strap so you can practice pulling without slipping constantly!
That’s it.
Just with those few items you’ll be able to cover most of your basis.
I’ll be updating this page in the future with a more extensive list of items for more advanced athletes.
